Why you need it?

This African plant gains its rather forbidding common name from its large hooked, claw like fruit.

Over the years numerous studies have confirmed the anti- inflammatory and pain relieving properties of the plant.

It is an anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, analgesic, and sedative.

Iridoid glycosides including harpagide, harpagoside and procumbide. Flavonoids. Phenolic acid etc.

Precautions

GRAS - Generally recognized as safe. No adverse reactions, side effects or overdose symptoms expected when taken within the recommended amounts.

Because Devil's claw promotes stomach acid, anyone with gastric or duodenal ulcers should not use the herb.

Devil's claw should not be used during pregnancy.

There is some doubt as to the main active constituent of the plant and experiments indicate that the whole plant, not an isolated chemical, works best.
