in the sunlight act on our skin to produce Vitamin D.

For this reason, the Department of Health & Children and the HSE recommend that “all infants, from birth to 12 months, whether breastfed or formula fed, be given a daily supplement of 5μg (200 IU) Vitamin D. This should be provided by a supplement containing Vitamin D exclusively”. This does not mean that at the age of 12 months and one day, their requirement for Vitamin D suddently stops. We all need Vitamin D throughout our lives. It is advisable to continue supplementation for as long as children do not get enough sunshine and or get enough Vitamin D in their diet.
How to use
Children 1-12 years: 0.5ml daily, or as directed by
your health professional. Fill the dropper to the
0.5ml mark. May be taken direct or mixed with cold
water or milk. Ages 12+ may also continue taking
Kiddie D3 at this dosage, or as directed by their
Warning: Excessive Vitamin D consumption over a prolonged period of time (more than 25mcg or 100IU per day for months on end) can be harmful to young infants. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
